Two weeks ago, I joined forces with a group of Bloggers to help transform an empty Habitat for Humanity house into a cozy decorated home (I helped with this cute girls bedroom design!).
Sometimes I wonder if I should just name my blog Better Late Than Never. Today’s BLTN post involves our amazing Habitat House. Remember back when I shared the incredible reveal of the house and I said I’d post a source list later in the week? Yeeeeaaaahhhh…. well… here we are. Labor Day Weekend. (Sidenote: can you believe it’s LABOR DAY weekend?!) I’ve found most of the exact things we used around the house but for thrifted items, I tried to share something similar!
After months and months of thinking about how it would all come together, I am thrilled and proud and SO happy to share our Habitat House! For those of you asking, “what??”… settle in for a fun post. Last Fall, I reached out to my friends at Hometalk and asked if they wanted to help us furnish and decorate a newly built Habitat for Humanity house. Thanks to their donation as well as a generous gift card from Wayfair, #BloggersHeartHabitat was born. I reached out to my local blogger friends and the beautiful photos below are proof of how talented everyone in this group is.
I haven’t told you nearly enough about our #BloggersHeartHabitat project so today I’m ready to dish! I chatted about it back in December, but for those of you who missed it, here’s the back story: A group of my amazingly talented blogging friends has agreed to help furnish and style an entire Habitat For Humanity house using their collective bag of tricks. We received a $3000 donation from Hometalk and a $3000 gift card from Wayfair; this breaks down to about $800 per room to cover EVERYTHING. We’re thrifting and repurposing and salvaging our little hearts out.
