The evolution of a space is sometimes a long and winding one, and Eleanor’s room has been ground zero for a domino effect of updates! Her new rug did NOT match the thread of green throughout the room, so I had to spray paint her headboard and her nightstand! Thankfully… updating these pieces took one afternoon and three easy steps!
You’ve heard me reiterate my goals for the space over the last couple of months so you know I wanted to make this small room feel a little bigger but still make it work as a guest room. I decided to orient the bed against the wall and turn it into a daybed. But the only daybeds I saw online were ‘meh’. Sooooooo, I built one!
One of the retro trends that I LOVE is the use of rattan in decor. Whether it’s a hanging chair, a side table or a Boho mirror… there’s evidence of these pieces everywhere! Ironically, these pieces are NOT cheap. Unless… you’re lucky enough to find a $3 basket at the thrift store that remind you exactly of one of these mirrors you’ve been coveting for so long! I loved this basket because it was round and shallow.
