Half way point for the One Room Challenge! This is the point where my “only two projects to go” could get dicey from a time-management point of view…yikes. Here’s my design plan and I still have to upholster the chairs I mentioned in Week 2…. remember the beauties with disintegrating foam? But today… I thought I’d share my new curtains! After a few pathetic attempts at curtains in our old house, I’ve finally cracked the code. I made these lined ones for our old dining room, and then these gorgeous fuchsia ones for Eleanor’s room.
This sweet monogrammed letter pillow is one of my FAVORITES. Partly because I can *barely* sew so this is a big time victory and partly because… I pretty much like anything that involves letters or words in design. Shameless promotion, I was FINALLY able to use this awesome fabric that was sent to me for […]
I’m a firm believer in the power of a good window treatment. It softens the space AND keeps the neighbors from getting an eye full… win-win. For our <a title=”Study Break” href=”http://ciburbanity.com/2014/05/01/study-break/” target=”_blank”>Home Office makeover</a>, I was originally going to sew another set of <a title=”Fabracadabra Curtains” href=”http://ciburbanity.com/2014/04/22/fabracadabra-curtains/” target=”_blank”>lined curtains</a>, but…. once the <a title=”Building In Some Billies” href=”http://ciburbanity.com/2014/05/15/building-billies/” target=”_blank”>built ins </a>and <a title=”Cursing and the Cork Wall” href=”http://ciburbanity.com/2014/05/13/lets-talk-cork/” target=”_blank”>cork wall disaster</a> were in place… I thought curtains would be too much. Time for Roman Shades 2.0.

I have a couple of different brands to thank for our amazing new dining room and Online Fabric Store is one of them. May I present the greatest lined curtains of all time. And if they’re NOT the greatest curtains of all time, they’re pretty dang close! Full disclosure, Online Fabric Store gave me a […]
Earlier this summer I was invited to participate in the Jo-Ann and Waverly 90th Anniversary Waverize It! contest… I mean, it’s not quite American Ninja Warrior or the Westminster Dog Show, but it’s competitive, people. We’re talking blood, sweat tears. Cardio. Hydration. SEWING! I know… you’d be carbo loading too, right?! The super specific and […]
