    Setting a Colorful Table

    There is zero reason for this colorful tablescape other than the fact that I had the best time mixing and matching and putting it all together! Also, I’m joining forces with a gaggle of color-loving ladies to share all sorts of colorful ideas today so there’s that also. One of my favorite blog posts was this rainbow glass wall I pulled together for our kitchen. Turns out, it was also one of the easiest blog posts since it involved thrifting some glassware and painting the rest!

    Last summer we made some improvements to our patio (cleared trees, expanded the flagstones, added a new patio set) and THIS summer, we’re enjoying it! We have a party for adults planned for early July, but… in the mean time, I wanted to share some of the ways we make it fun (and fancy-ish) for the kids!

    It must be some form of insanity that I enjoy creating these fun seasonal tablescapes with NO intention of sitting my kids down at any of them! Ha! Sometimes I use a fancy table post as an excuse to entertain, but my month is cray cray so… no way. But never you mind… here’s our spring table all ready for Easter, and I’m excited to break it down a bit for you!

    My “theme” other than Halloween was to bring in as much black and white as I could. I wanted spooky without scary. Creepy without nightmares… you get the idea. I was also hoping to do it all on a budget so most of these items are from flea markets and thrift stores, with a hat tip to 50% off at Michaels.

    Until this house with our fixed up formal dining room… I NEVER talked about a “tablescape”. Now… I regularly channel my inner Eddie Ross and I LOVE it. Here’s my tablescape disclaimer… I’m a maximalist. I love mixing and matching and bringing in lots of plants. And this Easter table is NO exception. I started with the color scheme from the rest of the spring tour (corals and greeny aqua) and then I kept adding layers.
