$1 Valentine’s Day Crafts
Psssst… this post *might* contain affiliate links: see my disclosure here.
Confession. I don’t love decorating for the holidays. I mean, if someone said, “Charlotte… next week your only job is to pimp the house out for National Ice Cream Day” (third Sunday in July) then I’d ADORE it. But instead, it always sneaks up on me and seems like an added expense. Until now. I had a news appearance last weekend and I was able to make a handful of adorable Valentine’s Day decorations for ONE DOLLAR. (Sorry to yell… but $1’s chump change!) Read on to see what I made! Affiliate links included for your convenience. See my full disclosure policy here.
Easy $1 Valentine’s Day Crafts
Here’s what you’ll need:
1. Floral Heart Lollipops
Cut out 1-inch hearts from the craft paper.
Shop my favorites!
Place a bead of hot glue beneath the candy part of the lollipop and stick one heart on. Add two more around the base of the lollipop. I added a second row to fill out the ‘flower’ but one row looked totally fine if you want to save some time!
2. Woven felt hearts
I’m not entirely sure why I’m sharing this one, because explaining it in writing is like explaining sign language in writing… but it’s SO cool I couldn’t resist.  Choose two different shades of felt and cut a strip… maybe 3-inches long. Fold the strips in half and cut the non-folded ends into an arc.  Cut two parallel lines perpendicular to the folded edge. Here’s where it gets tricky. Overlap the two folded pieces of felt and weave the folded strips. (Watch the video… it may help!)
3. Heart Tree
This is my favorite! Easy and essentially FREE… Reach for some of those paper hearts you cut out above and glue them onto your branch! It doesn’t get much easier than that amiright?
I shared all of these projects on Good Morning, CT last weekend. (WATCH HERE.) Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day? If I can find easy $1 decorations for every holiday, I might change my tune!
I love the heart tree and all $1 gifts that are cute like these ones. I am liking your new website, too!
Thanks, Mila! It’s SO nice to have a new look over here!
