Once a month I join forces with my Thrifty Style gals and we share some little bit of thrifty awesomeness from our homes! After four years of blogging, I could pretty much close my eyes and anything I’d touch would be ‘thrifted’ but today I’m going to pull back the curtain and show you our playroom! Until now the playroom has been a bit like Voldemort… unnamed and ne’er photographed… It’s still not finished (hello wallpaper residue on the walls), but I just brought home that coffee table I’m liking this new furniture configuration.
Once a month I circle the wagons and join forces with kindred spirits… lovers of the hunt… my thrifty style team! As you know… you don’t have to look very far over here to put your finger on something thrifted… I love the idea of giving an object new life. Also… I’m cheap. (See ALL my flea market scores here.) Today I’m sharing a project I actually did YEARS ago for the blog, but my pictures suck and I wanted a chance at redemption.
Hello, my people!!! I’m back from an incredible weekend in Atlanta at the Haven conference and sharing this months Thrifty Style Post with my ninja style team! I have a recap of the conference in the works for later this week so hang tight on all the deets. This month I thought I’d share a dresser that has taken some heat, and it’s sort of become metaphor for all sorts of things related to this blog of mine. May I present Martha’s repainted dresser.
Happy Wednesday and welcome to those of you hopping around our Thrifty Style Team’s amazing link up! Finding a fun thrifted project to share with you all is always a little like choosing which donut to eat first! Most of my decor is “thrifted” so… choosing which thing to post about is half the challenge! Have no fear… I overcame the pressure of it all and decided to give you a peek at Louisa’s new BIG girl room!
I have smart friends. So when one of these super smart friends organized a group of amazing bloggers to share thrifted items that they’re using on a daily basis around their homes, I was like ‘heck yeah!’. Our home is RIDDLED with thrifted repurposed items and I love a chance to talk about them… People often comment that they don’t have the imagination or the foresight to use grubby flea market finds around their homes, so I’m hoping to change the misconception one piece at a time. Today, I’m starting with the good ol’ ombre file cabinet!
