When I started getting ready for my spring house tour, I headed into Homegoods as any good DIYer would do… I was looking for small things to brighten up the space. Accessories. Planters. Throw pillows. I found a few things for the first two categories but no great throw pillows. Boo. But have no fear… have I got a hack for you! Wanna know what’s the same size as a lumbar pillow? Dishtowels!
One of my FAVORITE projects from last week’s Spring House Tour was this large DIY floral wreath. I was poking around Pinterest looking for “spring decor” and saw a simple rustic wreath that I loved! But (there’s always a but…) I didn’t have a ginormous wreath on hand. Know what I DID have on hand? 95 wire coat hangers.
I am SO thrilled my friends Krista and April invited me to be part of this Seasonal Simplicity tour because it means our house is 1. clean and 2. READY FOR SPRING! If you’re hopping over from Cherished Bliss, welcome!! I’m Charlotte. This is my house. I love color and thrifting and have lots of kids so most of the time my decor is crushed Cheerios and rogue socks! You’re welcome.
When we moved into our house, the first rooms I wanted to get settled were all the kids’ spaces. Partly because, let’s be honest… kids rooms are FUN to decorate… but obviously I wanted everyone to feel settled in their new home also! The kids’ rooms haven’t changed too much, and today I’m linking up with my fellow DIY Housewives to share some of our favorite children’s spaces!
Friends. Readers. Matt Damon. Apologies for the radio silence over here. I LITERALLY realized last Thursday that Martha and Louisa are home from school this week. Rather than going a WHOLE week without saying howdy, I wanted to share some fun plans I have in the works around here! Let’s start with our playroom… Last you saw, here’s how it looked.
