A few weeks ago, I brought in this bench to our kitchen table. It’s great for the kids, and actually seats a few more booties than the existing chairs. Only problem was… the upholstered seat was getting TRASHED. Or at least it was on its way to getting trashed. Until I sewed a simple cloth cover!
Our bedroom has fallen victim to the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie syndrome. A few weeks ago I innocently shared a glimpse of this bench at Homegoods and you all EGGED ME ON! I was happily sharing this colorful piece of furniture and then everyone was all, “that’s so you!”… “buy it”… “tell me you didn’t leave it behind”… So I went back and got it.
One of the things I enjoy most about design and decorating is planning the space. I love sitting down with a blank canvas and dreaming of how the space might look with a little TLC. But sometimes it’s really REALLY hard to see a space with fresh eyes and we can fail to see certain layouts or perhaps fail to consider different design angles. Which is why I was THRILLED to be asked to partner with an online design source, Modsy.
The evolution of a space is sometimes a long and winding one, and Eleanor’s room has been ground zero for a domino effect of updates! Her new rug did NOT match the thread of green throughout the room, so I had to spray paint her headboard and her nightstand! Thankfully… updating these pieces took one afternoon and three easy steps!
