More fun with paint today!! DecoArt sent me some of their… wait for it… glow in the dark paint! Yah. It glows. in. the. dark. Glow in the dark is basically like sparkles or sequins or glitter to me- I love it. Obviously ANYthing would be cool with glow in the dark paint.
As some of you may know, I taught 1st grade for 5 years and then worked as a K-8 guidance counselor for another 5 years. My favorite type of lesson plan was one that revolved around a picture book. I would say all of these ideas would be appropriate for an elementary schooler and some could even be adapted for a preschooler with some adult support!
Our school district has scrambled and has been amazing about providing digital learning opportunities and we can access lots of academic materials online, but I wanted to share a quick brainstorm of simple activities and projects that my kids have always enjoyed that using easily available materials and supplies.
I know you come to me for design and color and crafts, BUT… I also know from getting so many DMs when I talk about other things, that you also appreciate hearing about topics that aren’t necessarily design-y. Today’s one of those days. With five kids and running my own business, convenience is no small thing for us.
