Acrylic Circle Washi Tape Ornament
Last year for my 12 Days of Ornament series I discovered these precut clear acrylic ornaments. I had a bunch leftover and wanted to find another way to use them. I should warn you, this ornament will take you all of 5-minutes to make so if you’re looking to get out of doing the dishes because you have to go “make ornaments” this isn’t the one to choose. But the flip side is that you need TWO things and these finished ornaments couldn’t be cuter.
Step 1. Go online and order these acrylic ornaments
Shop my favorites!
Step 2. Remove the backing on one side of the ornament
Step 3. Cover ornament with strips of washi tape
I hadn’t realized how thin the washi tape I ordered was, so note that you can buy thicker washi tape or even washi tape with patterns. I’ve linked to all my supplies below but washi tape is available at any craft store and even big box stores like Walmart, Target, etc. Stick your washi tape on one strip at a time.
Step 4. Trim the edges
You can certainly use an exacto knife to trim the ragged washi tape edges, but honestly I was able to use scissors which was faster and easier.

I am so excited to try this! We have lots of washi tape, but I just never know what to do with it! I can’t wait to try THIS!
Let me know if you do! THanks, Phoebe!!
You could even paint in some LiquiTex fluid mediums in matte or glossy Which are clear paints and they would seal the Washi tapes Also liquitex also hs a medium with glass beads in the clear oaint wiuld would make the sparkle
Great idea! test one first to make sure it doesn’t pull the washi tape off the acrylic, but I love the idea of sealing it!
