Whether a planter or an orb or another planter… it’s the perfect materials for DIYers: inexpensive and chic! For this month’s DIY Housewives post, we’re all sharing garden inspiration so I wanted to remind you about this fountain I made (and ADORE).

This month’s theme for our DIY Housewives round up is “picnics”. I’ve made these plates for other holidays and LOVE how simple they are. Adding just the right amount of budget cheer to our picnic festivities… these patriotic plates are about ready to make their summer appearance!

Today I’m sharing an oldie but goodie… these wooden DIY Faux Metal planters. This will be the third season for these guys and they are in PERFECT shape. I had my eye on some that were actual metal but they were waaaaaaay out of my price range.

I joke about having armchairs in my garage, but the truth is that table lamps are a bit of a soft spot for me as well! Just about every light in my house is thrifted and I love the character and charm they add to a side table or desk! Most of the time, I bring a lamp and love it as is. But… every once in a while I get an idea for a makeover and it’s game on!
