Home Improvements DIY Housewives Style
Psssst… this post *might* contain affiliate links: see my disclosure here.
Two months ago, my smarty friends came up with a fun way for us to share some of our best projects with new readers and the DIY Housewives were born! This month, our theme is Home Improvements and this simple kitchen clutter buster has been the MOST useful for us in this new house. (I made the original command center one for our first house and it’s one of the most pinned posts from my blog.)
This wall in our kitchen served zero purpose until I hung a bunch of fun ways to wrangle ALL the crap that comes with three school-aged kids, a toddler and an infant. Papers, and pencils, and masking tape, oh my!

Here’s the original post where I outline every last detail. You’ll want to click over to see the horror that was the original paint color in that room. And then you’ll want to rub your eyes in disbelief at how INCREDIBLE A COAT OF PAINT CAN BE. And lastly… you’ll want to see what I learned watching our painters. I mean, mostly I learned that I’m a sucky painter, but… I shared some tips.
The best part of the DIY Housewives are all the other ladies, of course! Head over to everyone eles’s blogs to see all their amazing home improvements. I’ve already done some light stalking and, trust me, there are some super clever ideas!

Thanks so much, Maryann! I love turning the corner and seeing that fun wall!
Great idea, I need to tame my kitchen clutter for sure!
Thanks, Debbie! This *helps* but… I could use 12 more of these if I’m being honest. :0
I love your command center and I totally need one! My life is a mess right now 🙁
Oh, make no mistake. My life is still a mess… I just have a command center to convince myself otherwise. 😉
That is a fantastic idea for a kitchen, and I love the background design, so fun!
Thanks, Lisa! I love a little graphic pattern… and this one is super easy to tape out. #lazy 🙂
jealous! I need that organization in my house!
🙂 I need about 76 more of them! Ha!
