For those of you who’ve been with me from the ugly beginning, you may have heard me reference the Haven Conference. I heard about the conference about two months into my blog and couldn’t wait to attend some ten months later.  It’s a conference specifically for DIY/ Home Decor bloggers and when I first went, I pretty much learned that I was 0 for 10 when it came to my blog. Three years later, I’m still going and… I’ve learned a few tricks and gained a TON of friends!

I don’t normally post on Fridays, but I wanted to hop in to give you a Home and Family update since I have been SO touched by the outpouring of support and votes and shares and love from my readers, friends and family! I’m bummed but not surprised to tell you guys that they announced that Jeremy Rabe (aka the FYI Guy) will be moving forward to the next round. Two thousand fifteen! It was a big year for us and looking back over the blog, I realize how much we’ve accomplished since last January. Hoping you all are enjoying a wonderful bit of holiday down time. (Unless you work in retail in which case, thanks for all your hard work… have a great break in August.) Santa was good to the Smith family and we’ve cleaned the house 17 times a day on average since Christmas.
