Amos House is an amazing non profit organization responsible for dozens of programs such as transitional housing, a soup kitchen, mother-child reunification, workforce training, and more! They recently relocated their offices to a new building and remodeled the old office space into 4 charming family apartments.
Sharing a Bloggers Heart Habitat home is always one of my favorite posts to write! A couple of years ago I started a collaboration with Habitat for Humanity and a group of local bloggers. We help design and decorate a couple of rooms in a newly built Habitat house and it is truly the most fun design of the season for me! For this house, we were helping to fill a shared boys bunk room as well as a large family room/ dining room.
I know the week between Christmas and New Years is a slow one, but… I’ve been DYING to share our latest Bloggers Heart Habitat project with everyone! 2016 has been a tough year for lots of folks, and working with organizations like Habitat does wonders for knocking things right back into perspective. A little back story… last fall, I had the hair brained idea that I could wrangle some of my uber talented uber thrifty blogging pals and help decorate and furnish a newly built Habitat for Humanity home.
Sometimes I wonder if I should just name my blog Better Late Than Never. Today’s BLTN post involves our amazing Habitat House. Remember back when I shared the incredible reveal of the house and I said I’d post a source list later in the week? Yeeeeaaaahhhh…. well… here we are. Labor Day Weekend. (Sidenote: can you believe it’s LABOR DAY weekend?!) I’ve found most of the exact things we used around the house but for thrifted items, I tried to share something similar!
