This painted desk held up great… until a painting project of Eleanor’s got away from her. A few drips turned into a haphazard finger paint situation that did not look cute. The desk works great and she didn’t want to get rid of it, but it felt a little messy so I decided to give it a second paint makeover.
I love these thrift store challenge days as they give me FULL permission to go thrifting and dream up all sorts of projects! When I saw a pair of these bentwood chair at Goodwill for $5 each, I knew they had potential, buuuut… I didn’t want to do anything permanent to them, because bentwood chairs are amazing.
I picked up this side table at the Restore for $10. I know I just finished stripping another restore purchase to bring it back to its wooden glory, so I appreciate that this might seem a little hypocritical, but… painting an old dated piece of furniture can also be an amazing way to give it new life and bring it into your individual decor.
