If you haven’t already read it, Eve Bunting’s The Night Tree is a magical story about a Christmas Tree for the birds and animals. We read it last year so when I set up one of our artificial trees outside, it seemed fitting that we would decorate it with edible munchies for all our wildlife friends! I set up everything at the kitchen table and the kids moved through making ornaments and garland however they liked.
Our new house is a lot more interesting to decorate for the holidays than the rental, and this year I am excited to really gussy up the place for Christmas! I decorated for Christmas a tiny bit last year, but I feel like I’ll do a better job this year since I’m not also juggling unpacking and getting settled in a new home.
Last fall, my friend Sam (DIY Huntress) and I had the “pinch me” opportunity of working together and competing on an HGTV Holiday Craft show called Holiday Crafter’s Gone Wild. One of the projects we made was this oversized working snow globe. I’ve been counting down until this season when I could make a tutorial for you guys and today’s the day!!
